KIPL fundraising party this Saturday

We're big supporters of KIPL – it's where we host most of our events, like the International Noise Conference and the Knife Culture launch. They're having a fundraising party this Saturday which features, amongst others, Dead Boomers and Bachelor Kitchen DJs.

    If you don't know us KIPL provide artist studios and workshop, and curate exhibition programs which encourage collaboration, extended/ experimental performance, sound and music.

    As KIPL has been predominantly used as a live performance space in the past, as of 2012, we will be opening our doors to a consistent exhibition program. with no extortionate fees, and no bullshit.

Dead Boomers on latest New Weird Australia compilation

Dead Boomers have contributed a wall to the latest New Weird Australia compilation, Bleak Metal. The piece is called Superannuation Deficit. The collection was put together by Ian Rodgers and Stu Buchanan and can either be streamed or downloaded below.

Sabbatical presents: Knife Culture launch festival

Sabbatical is proud to present Knife Culture: Buried Melbourne, a double disc compilation housing 29 examples of buried Melbourne sound.

Our intention with Knife Culture is to profile Melbourne-based artists and projects we are collectively enthused with, and whom we feel are not being adequately recognised or documented elsewhere.
